We are very proud to be taking the reins at Indian Sumner, one of Christchurch’s most loved Indian restaurants. As of the start of October, the restaurant will be known as Coriander’s Sumner.
Dilip and Vanta opened the restaurant in 2002 and for 18 years they have grown the reputation of the establishment to be a part of the Sumner community. Coriander’s is dedicated to the communities we serve, and we intend to continue this great relationship with our favourite beachside suburb.
We have been painting, renovating and bringing a little bit of Coriander’s charm while respecting the heritage of the restaurant. In the future, we will be looking for ways to offer even more to the Sumner community.
We want to give another big thanks to Dilip and Vanta for creating a great dining experience that is a welcome addition to the Coriander’s family, and another thanks to the many people who have booked in for meals in the newly-done-up restaurant – we won’t let you down.
Coriander’s Sumner is the fourth premier dining establishment in the Coriander’s family, alongside Coriander’s St Asaph Street, Coriander’s Bush Inn, and the original Coriander’s restaurant in Rolleston. We will be preparing all your favourite authentic, delicious North Indian dishes and serving them up with your favourite alcoholic and soft drinks from our menu or BYO wine.
We’re looking forward to serving more amazing authentic Indian food to the Sumner community.
Please note that you can dine in and take away from Coriander’s Sumner, but for now if you want delivery you’ll have to order from St Asaph Street, Bush Inn or Rolleston.
You can find Coriander’s Sumner on Wakefield Avenue, across the road from the Sumner Community Centre.
