We’re hosting mystic music group Monk Party at Coriander’s St Asaph Street and Sumner. They’re an absolute dream to listen to, playing Indian meditative and world music.
Father-and-son musicians Pragunya and Nelson Myers-Daly draw inspiration from spiritual practices of the East and live like urban monks in the hustle and bustle of the modern Western world. Their music is soulful, elevating and purifying.
Pragunya and Nelson are students of the spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy, who helped establish meditation as a practice for wellbeing and mindfulness in the Western world. Sri Chinmoy encouraged his students to listen, sing and play soulful music on a daily basis.
The pair have travelled the world and performed in North America, Europe, and throughout Australasia, and now they are gracing our guests with their presence and enthusiasm for music and spiritual life.
Relax on the deck with food, drink and the smooth sounds of Monk Party.
